Ms. Mansi Darbar is a passionate and determined entrepreneur who has over 14 years experience in the media and entertainment industry in India at C-level positions.
She has worked with some of the most ground breaking companies like Applause Entertainment (Aditya Birla Group), ALT Balaji, Balaji Telefilms (Balaji Group) & Big Synergy (Reliance Entertainment) with experience across Television, Digital & Production.
At her recent position Ms. Darbar was the Network Vice President- Corporate Strategy & Development at IN10 Media Network (Mahindra Group & Pittie Group).
As a part of her duties, Ms. Darbar was the core part of the expansion process and all strategic actions & decisions for 8 business brands under the network.
Her key responsibilities and strengths included – Development of Strategies, Collaborations & Partnerships, Commercials, Management, Network Corporate Communication.
Additionally, she got the ball rolling for Content Originals for some of the linear broadcast brands and was the Founding Member of the Hindi GEC ‘Ishara’ and ‘Gubbare’ a Kids linear tv channel.
At the onset of her career, Mansi honed her craft mostly across non-fiction shows in Big Synergy, one of India’s biggest production houses, as an Associate Creative Director. Some of her biggest shows include Kaun Banega Crorepati (India’s adaptation of Who wants to Be a Millionaire?) and Dus Ka Dum (India’s adaptation of Power of 10).
As someone who constantly challenges herself, she plunged head-first into the fledgling OTT space in India and was a core founding member of ALT Balaji, India’s First Homegrown OTT Platform.
Post ALT Balaji, she was the core founding member of Applause Entertainment India’s First Content & IP creation Studio, where she headed Content Business Operations and seamlessly juggled several portfolios – Acquisitions, Legal, Commercial, Operations & Talent across 50 Series.
She also established Applause Entertainment’s international base from its inception with format holders around the world.
It was Ms. Darbar who led the charge in bringing several global shows to India, like – Criminal Justice (adapting the hit BBC show), Hostages (adapting the hit Israeli show) Call My Agent (adapting the French series), Fauda (adapting the hit Israeli show), Unreal (adapting the US Series) & many more series which stand testament to this.
