Namit Sharma

In a career spanning 23 years, Namit has worn many hats in the world of media and entertainment. He began his career as a journalist and freelance TV writer/Producer but his key milestones in his career have been his stints as the Sr. Executive Producer at Sony Entertainment Television (Events, non fiction shows as well as award winning dramas like Missing, Dhadkahn, Hubahu), as Creative Director at Cinevistaas – a leading production house for TV soaps (Sanjivani on Star Plus), as Executive Producer at one of India’s leading film studios – Yash Raj films, as Business head and Chief Creative Director at Wizcraft Television (Indian Idol season 5, Nach Baliye seasons 3 and 4, Entertainment ke liye Kuch Bhi Karega, IIFA Awards, GIMA Awards, Greenathon) and as Programming Head at Zee Tv (Key milestones during his tenure include launch and success of Kumkum Bhagya, Jamai Raja, Neele Chatri Waale, Maharakshak Aryan, DID Supermoms, Saregamapa Little Champs).
His skill set include content selection , creation and management, project execution , writing, producing and directing. Recently, Namit has partnered with Big Synergy Media Ltd. and has produced a number of shows for digital as well as broadcast networks including the award winning web series Yo ke huh bro – for Voot, a youth/crime drama Kaushiki for VIU, a 26 part factual series India’s Best Jobs for Discovery, IPL finals event Party to Banti Hai broadcast for Star Plus and an upcoming factual series for Star Sports. He is currently developing a slate of big ticket drama series for the digital medium for Big Synergy as their focus for the next few years.
